Join Dr Eugene Zampieron, ND, RH(AHG) (DrZnaturally) and Dr. Ellen Kamhi, PhD RN, AHN-BC, RH(AHG) Herbal professor (The Natural Nurse®), for an exciting herbal identification walk and medicine making workshop.
They will take participants on an herb walk to identify medicinal and edible plants through the Gilbertie’s property, discussing the folklore, chemistry, and traditional uses of herbs.
They will then harvest many herbs and lead a workshop teaching participants to transform the herbs into cough syrups, tinctures, salves and other herbal medicaments.
The duo have co-authored many books on herbal medicine and have been radio hosts for over 30 years. They also are professors teaching graduate level courses in phyto pharmacognosy, medical botany, and botanical medicine, and teach with an encyclopedic knowledge of the plants. They have been involved with developing professional lines of botanical medicines and are consultants to the herbal industry and highly sought after and respected teachers.
All participants will leave the workshop with medicines to take home and use.
