The Basics of Herbal Medicine (Online) [Class 4 – Feeling the Consciousness of Plants]

This series offers 18 CEUs for Florida Licensed Massage Therapists, Dietitians, Nurses, Midwives, Acupuncture Physicians, and Nutrition Counselors.
This class, offered by nurse and herbalist Ellen Kamhi, PhD, RN, AHG is designed to offer flexibility for beginning or advanced herbal students. Use this series of classes to ignite your inspiration towards better health with practical plant-based tools. Feel free to attend any one class on an individual basis, or all four of the classes in the series. Now offered ONLINE!

Lecture covers essential vocabulary, such as extracts, tinctures, capsules, infusions, and decoctions, as well as the safety and efficacy of herbal medicines.

Class 2—Botany & Botanical Nomenclature (click here) Saturday April 16th
Lecture covers the importance of Latin names when communicating with other herbalists, the Doctrine of Signatures, and Shamanic health rituals.
Class 3—Using Herbs for Yourself and Your Family (click here) Saturday May 14th
Lecture covers common herbal “first aids” for colds and flu, ear infections, stomach upsets, and other mild heath issues.
Course Fee
$50 per class, or
$180 for entire course (must be paid in advance)
$195 for entire course to include CEU processing
CEU Certificates
Recommended for all interested individuals, as well as natural health professionals. Participants will receive a certificate indicating level of course work and hours of study completed.
To receive CEU’s participants must:
+ Attend all four classes
+ Purchase course text book, The Natural Medicine Chest, by Ellen Kamhi, PhD RN and Eugene Zampieron, ND (available online, copies will be available for purchase at first class)
+ Complete homework assignments
+ Pay an additional $15 CEU fee
